Welcome, I’m glad you’re here! Let me introduce myself and what Sew Nature is all about!
Our mission is to help the pollinators, we do this through art and science. Our art is painting on fabric and science is taught through our art.
I Laura, owner, have a bachelor’s degree from UCF in Ecology, a master's in environmental science from UF, and 30 years of business experience restoring ecosystems. I also have over 20 years as a butterfly gardener. And I love it!
We teach through our patterns, video, our Fabric Art and Garden Club and Workshops to Guilds and Garden Clubs.
We also help pollinator by giving 30% of profits to ecological restoration projects and environmental charities.
We use Derwent Inktense pencils because of the intense colors and they don’t wash out. We have developed our unique tools that help you color with these pencils, like our activator and our color chart
Each of our patterns introduces species, with step-by-step instructions for coloring them (no prior experience nor artistic talent needed!), and suggestions to incorporate these species in your yard.
Your painted sheet can be quilted and embellished for a stand-alone wall quilt, +/or incorporated as a block in a quilt, made into a pillow, decorate an apron, mug rug...
Use your creativity, have fun and let me know what you do with your colored masterpiece!
Do you have a question about our products or classes? Send us a message.
